Just wanted to let any one know with the type 1 font installation issue - the issue is with the NVIDIA driver. This is only on systems with XP and does not effect Vista. Windows expects the NVIDIA device driver to be a certain size (maximum). The NVIDIA driver is slightly larger than expected. A simple registry entry resolves the type 1 font issue in XP. To resolve the issue, complete the following:

Open the registry editor (START, RUN and type regedit and click OK)

Navigate to the following key - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager\MemoryManagement

Add a new REG_DWORD Value - Change the name of the value to SessionImageSize with a value (decimal) of 20 and then reboot the machine.

You will now be able to install your type 1 fonts and have the latest proper video driver as well.

Hi there! I found this blog thru the forum at 41 Hz.
Nice work you have done on the AMP5!
I bought a kit a year ago, but I got stuck as I couln´t get the BOM to match the content in the plastic bags..
I could really use some help.. Can you send me high resolution pics of your amp. (Both sides)?
If you can, I will be extremely happy! I have half my furniture (two big 400 liter sub base)who needs a drive..

I had the same problem (no Open Type Fonts with Windows XP Pro) with a Lenovo SL500. Installing this driver fixed it for me:

this is a problem with a certain windows patch level and a certain nvidia driver version (there are also problems with ati drivers). newer drivers should fix that issue. look at this: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=16866

Have the same problem. Cant render otf fonts with 17x.xx drivers. But what is the reason? My friends have the same drivers and the same OS and it works fine for them.
I’ll be very grateful for help.
